Elizabeth Thompson is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 14 years of experience. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences. She then attended Union University were she graduated received a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2008. She is board certified by ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and by FMSCA as a Medical Examiner. She has spent the majority of her career in hospital medicine, where she has specialized in pulmonary medicine and infectious disease. She has now additionally expanded into chronic wound care management and acute care.
She is married with two children. She spends her leisure time boating, hiking and caring for her mini zoo.
Dr. Imad Omer completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville; graduating magna cum laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He continued with his medical training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock where he was honored with many awards. He completed his internship in internal medicine and a fellowship in infectious diseases at UAB; where he received numerous awards for excellence in teaching. Board-certified in infectious diseases in 2002; he currently serves as an assistant professor for UTCHS.
Married to Saadia and father to three sons; Dr. Omer loves Arkansas football; attending his sons’ sporting events; and spending spare time with his family.
Dr. Mike Threlkeld graduated from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences (UTCHS) with highest honors in 1983. His postgraduate training in internal medicine came at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland and his fellowship in infectious disease was at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. He was board-certified in infectious disease in 1988. In addition to serving as president of Threlkeld Infectious Disease; he also holds the position of hospital epidemiologist at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis and is an assistant professor for the UTCHS program.
Married to Susan and father of two daughters; Dr. Mike is an avid bird photographer and travels around the world in search of the best images of birds that he can find.
Dr. Steve Threlkeld graduated magna cum laude from Rhodes College in Memphis; where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham; graduating in 1990 with numerous awards for outstanding achievement. In addition to an internal medicine residency at UAB; he did his postgraduate training at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital; where he received awards for his clinical excellence. Board-certified in infectious disease in 1997 and now a managing member of Threlkeld Infectious Disease; Dr. Steve is president of the medical staff at Baptist Hospital – Memphis as of 2016 and serves as epidemiologist for the hospital and assistant professor for UTCHS.
Married to Ginger and father of two; Dr. Steve loves fishing and spending his spare time with his family.
